I keep the tools
developers depend on
running, visible, and affordable.
Fourteen years operating enterprise developer-tooling and observability stacks. I run the platforms — Datadog, GitHub, Nexus, LaunchDarkly, Docker — across a large multi-company software group, and I do the unglamorous part well: incident response, vendor negotiation, and cutting spend without cutting capability.
Three things I'm genuinely good at
Observability
Datadog at specialist depth — multi-org administration, SSO/SAML, RUM rollout, alerting that signals instead of screaming. Migrated a group off legacy APM onto a modern stack.
Platform & DevTools
Org admin across GitHub, Nexus artifact management, LaunchDarkly and Docker. Governance, supply-chain security response, and the database upgrades and incident triage that keep it all up.
Vendor & cost
The rare part: usage-based-billing optimization, consumption forecasting, and contract negotiation with vendors and procurement. I've taken seven-figure spend down 30% against baseline.
Where I've done it
Platform & Observability Engineer — Central Tools Team
Operate the central developer-tooling platform for a multi-company software group: org admin across Datadog, GitHub, Nexus, LaunchDarkly and Docker. Led observability contract optimization for a 30% cost reduction, drove enterprise AI-tooling adoption, and own incident response and infrastructure maintenance across the group.
APM System Manager / Observability Lead
Led migration from legacy AppDynamics to a modern multi-tool observability environment with Datadog as the primary platform. Managed a small specialist team and took sole ownership of observability architecture through an organizational restructuring.
System Administrator
Grew from junior administrator to full owner of the enterprise Microsoft SCOM monitoring architecture. Executed a side-by-side platform upgrade with no SLA disruption and built a self-service monitoring culture across cross-functional teams.
IT Specialist
Managed local IT infrastructure and user support, owning server maintenance and patching — the hardware and networking foundation for a move into enterprise observability.
Open to senior platform,
observability & DevTools roles.
Remote across the EU, based in Kaunas, Lithuania. Also available for focused consulting — Datadog health checks and observability cost optimization.
